Movement Tip: Foot Fulcrum
Awareness around using your whole foot vs the ball of your foot for your movement practice is absolutely key and will unlock circular movements in a whole new way for you.
Your whole foot on the ground offers a strong and stable foundation, but is not ideal for turning and pivoting. In order to pivot a fulcrum must be created — in the foots case, that is the ball of the foot.
Your tip of the week is to bringing awareness to your feet as you walk, move, exercise, do yoga, etc. Pay close attention where your weight is when turning and spinning and what area of your foot are you placing your weight on.
